We sell bugs. Good ones.

Erbies is a small brand from Burton, MI on a mission to make edible insects the most fun snack in the room.

We didn't start Erbies because we had a lifelong passion for entomophagy. We started it because edible insects are genuinely fascinating, surprisingly delicious, and the kind of product that makes people stop, stare, and say "wait, are these real?" They are. And once you try one, you get it.

Erbies sources all of our insects from GAP-certified farms, where they're raised clean, quick-frozen fresh, seasoned, and vacuum packed with an oxygen absorber so they stay shelf-stable for up to a year. No sketchy sourcing. No corners cut. Just real, food-grade edible bugs that taste a whole lot better than they look.

So why eat bugs?

Turns out the world has been doing this for a long time. The practice of eating insects is called entomophagy, and more than 80% of the world's nations eat insects as a regular part of their diet. Western culture is just catching up.

They're nutritious

Rich in protein, good fats, calcium, iron, and zinc. Crickets need 12x less feed than cattle for the same protein output.

They taste better than you think

Crickets are nutty and take on seasoning well. Sago worms taste almost like bacon. Silkworm pupae are mild and creamy.

They're surprisingly fun

No other snack gets the reaction Erbies gets. That's kind of the whole point.

Where our bugs come from.

Every insect in every Erbies bag is sourced from GAP-certified farms. After harvest they're cleaned, quick-frozen, dehydrated, seasoned, and sealed in vacuum pouches with oxygen absorbers. Shelf-stable for up to one year. 100% food grade safe.
